Ingredients
- 125 g Nudeln
- 500 ml Brühe
- 2 EL Crème fraîche
- 1 EL Tomatenmark
- 5 Scheiben Salami
- 5 Scheiben Schinken
- 1 Zwiebel
- ½ Dose Mais
- 2 Tomaten
- Salz
- Pfeffer
- Oregano
- Tabasco
- Knoblauchpulver
- Basilikum
- Koriander, gemahlen
Instructions
- Begin by preparing all your ingredients: peel and finely dice the onion. Cut the slices of salami and ham into thin strips. Wash and dice the tomatoes. Drain the corn if using canned.
- Heat a large, deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat and add a splash of oil. Once hot, add the diced onions, salami strips, and ham strips. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, stirring regularly, until the onions are soft and translucent and the meats are lightly browned and fragrant.
- Add the diced tomatoes to the pan and stir well. Let them cook for 2 minutes until they start to break down and release their juices.
- Pour in the uncooked pasta, the drained corn, and the broth (500 ml). Stir everything together thoroughly, making sure the pasta is evenly distributed and mostly submerged in the liquid.
- Season the mixture generously with salt, pepper, oregano, a dash of Tabasco for heat, a sprinkle of garlic powder, some dried basil, and a pinch of ground coriander. Stir well so that the spices are well incorporated.
- Bring the contents of the pan to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium, cover the pan with a lid, and let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking, ensuring the pasta cooks evenly and absorbs the flavors.
- After 5 minutes, add the crème fraîche and tomato paste to the pan. Stir thoroughly to combine, ensuring the crème fraîche melts into the sauce and the tomato paste is evenly distributed.
- Return the lid to the pan and let everything simmer for an additional 5 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente and the sauce has thickened. If the sauce becomes too thick or the pasta absorbs too much liquid, add a splash of milk to loosen the consistency. Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt, pepper, or spices as desired.
- Optionally, for an extra creamy and cheesy finish, sprinkle some shredded mozzarella over the pasta in the final minutes of cooking. Close the lid and let the cheese melt into the hot pasta before serving.
- Serve the noodle pan hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy your quick and delicious meal!
Notes
You can customize this dish by adding other vegetables such as bell peppers, zucchini, or mushrooms. For a vegetarian option, simply omit the salami and ham or replace them with plant-based alternatives. If you like it extra spicy, add more Tabasco or a pinch of chili flakes. The dish tastes even better with a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan or mozzarella cheese just before serving. Adjust the consistency of the sauce with a little milk if it thickens too much during cooking.
