Description
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 St Zimtstange
- 750 ml Milch
- 250 ml Eierlikör
- 250 ml Schlagobers zum Garnieren
- 1 EL weißen Rum
- 0.5 TL Lebkuchengewürz
- 40 g Vollmilchschokolade
Instructions
- Begin by pouring the milk into a medium-sized saucepan and adding the cinnamon stick. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the milk to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally to prevent the milk from scorching on the bottom of the pan.
- Once the milk starts to boil and is infused with the aroma of the cinnamon stick, remove the saucepan from the heat. Break the milk chocolate into small pieces and add them to the hot milk. Stir continuously until all the chocolate pieces are fully melted and the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Return the saucepan to the stovetop and set it to a low heat. Add the egg liqueur (Eierlikör), the gingerbread spice (Lebkuchengewürz), and the white rum to the mixture. Stir gently and heat the mixture just until it is warmed through. Make sure not to let it boil again, as overheating can cause the alcohol to evaporate and the egg liqueur to curdle.
- Remove the cinnamon stick from the saucepan and discard it. Pour the hot chocolate punch into heatproof glasses, filling them nearly to the top.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream (Schlagobers) until soft peaks form, if not already whipped. Top each glass of chocolate punch generously with a dollop of whipped cream.
- Serve the Advent Schoko Punsch immediately while hot, garnished with whipped cream on top. Optionally, you can sprinkle a little extra gingerbread spice or grated chocolate over the whipped cream for added flavor and decoration.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, you can replace the egg liqueur and rum with additional milk and a splash of vanilla extract. Adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding a little sugar if desired. For a more intense chocolate flavor, use a mix of milk and dark chocolate. This punch is perfect for cozy gatherings during the holiday season and can be prepared in advance, then gently reheated before serving.
