Ameisenhaufen Dessert mit Bananen ohne Backen Rezept

  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 2 Portionen 1x

Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 600 g Schokolade-Lebkuchen (or 1 pack of ladyfingers)
  • 600 g sour cream or Schmand
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 2 bananas
  • Ground walnuts
  • Desiccated coconut
  • Grated chocolate for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare a large serving plate or platter where you will assemble the dessert. Make sure the plate is flat and spacious enough to accommodate several layers.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sour cream (or Schmand) with the powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly using a whisk or hand mixer until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Slice the bananas into thin, even rounds. Set aside for layering.
  4. If using Schokolade-Lebkuchen, cut them in half. If using ladyfingers, break them into halves or suitable pieces to make layering easier.
  5. Take each piece of Lebkuchen (or ladyfingers) and briefly dip it into the sour cream mixture, ensuring it is lightly coated but not soggy.
  6. Arrange a layer of the dipped Lebkuchen or ladyfingers on the prepared plate, covering as much surface as possible. Fill any gaps with additional sour cream mixture to create an even layer.
  7. Sprinkle a generous amount of ground walnuts and desiccated coconut evenly over the first layer of cookies.
  8. Place a layer of banana slices on top of the walnut and coconut layer, ensuring the bananas are evenly spread to cover the surface.
  9. Repeat the layering process: dip more Lebkuchen or ladyfingers in the sour cream mixture, arrange them on top, fill gaps with cream, then sprinkle with walnuts and coconut, and add more banana slices. Continue layering in this order until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of the sour cream mixture on top.
  10. Sprinkle the topmost layer generously with grated chocolate, ensuring the dessert is attractively covered.
  11. Cover the assembled dessert with plastic wrap or foil, and refrigerate for several hours, ideally overnight. This allows the flavors to meld and the dessert to set, making it easier to slice and serve.
  12. Before serving, optionally add extra grated chocolate, coconut, or walnut pieces for presentation. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

For best results, allow the dessert to chill overnight so the layers can soak up the cream and meld together. You can use either Schokolade-Lebkuchen for a spiced, festive flavor, or ladyfingers for a lighter taste. Schmand is a tangy German sour cream; regular sour cream can be substituted if unavailable. Adjust the amount of coconut and walnuts to taste. The dessert can be made in a dome shape to resemble an ‚ant hill‘ (Ameisenhaufen) for an authentic look.
