Description
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 Eisbergsalat
- 3 Tomaten
- 1 Salatgurke
- 200 g Gouda, gerieben
- 4 Eier, gekocht
- 200 g Kochschinken
- 2 EL Salatcreme (Miracel Whip)
Instructions
- Begin by thoroughly washing the head of iceberg lettuce under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris. Gently pat the lettuce dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess water.
- Cut the iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Discard the core and place the lettuce pieces into a large salad bowl.
- Rinse the tomatoes under water, dry them, then cut them into small cubes or wedges according to your preference. Add the tomato pieces to the bowl with the lettuce.
- Peel the cucumber if desired, then slice it lengthwise and cut it into half-moon shapes or small cubes. Add the cucumber to the salad bowl.
- Peel the hard-boiled eggs and chop them into small pieces. Add the chopped eggs to the salad bowl.
- Cut the cooked ham into thin strips or small cubes. Add the ham to the rest of the salad ingredients.
- Add the grated Gouda cheese to the bowl with the other ingredients.
- Spoon the salad cream (such as Miracel Whip) over the salad ingredients.
- Using two large salad spoons, gently but thoroughly toss all the ingredients together until the salad cream is evenly distributed and everything is well mixed.
- Taste the salad and adjust seasoning if desired. Serve immediately, or chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator for a colder, more refreshing salad.
Notes
You can add other fresh vegetables such as bell peppers or sweet corn for extra color and flavor. For a lighter version, substitute half of the salad cream with plain yogurt. Feel free to use a different cheese or omit the ham for a vegetarian option. The salad is perfect for barbecues, parties, or as a quick, filling meal.
