Description
Ingredients
Scale
- Lasagneplatten
- 6 Äpfel
- 1.100 ml Milch
- 2 Päckchen Vanillepuddingpulver
- Zimt
- Zucker
Instructions
- Begin by preparing the apples: Peel all 6 apples, then grate or finely slice them using a grater or mandoline. Place the prepared apples in a bowl and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, pour in the 1,100 ml of milk. Add the 2 packets of vanilla pudding powder and the desired amount of sugar (typically about 4–6 tablespoons, but adjust to taste). Whisk the mixture thoroughly to dissolve the pudding powder and sugar.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Cook until the mixture thickens into a pourable but not too stiff vanilla pudding. Once done, remove from heat.
- Preheat your oven to 150°C using the convection (Heißluft) setting.
- Lightly grease a large ovenproof casserole or baking dish. Pour a thin layer of the prepared vanilla pudding into the bottom of the dish to prevent sticking and create the first layer.
- Begin layering the lasagna: Place a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (Lasagneplatten) over the pudding. Spread a layer of grated apples on top of the noodles. Sprinkle with some sugar and cinnamon. Pour a layer of vanilla pudding over the apples to cover them.
- Continue building the layers in the following order: lasagna noodles, grated apples (with sugar and cinnamon), and vanilla pudding. Repeat the process until all ingredients are used, making sure to finish with a generous layer of vanilla pudding on top to keep the top moist during baking.
- Cover the baking dish with a lid or tightly with aluminum foil to keep moisture in. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, remove the lid or foil from the baking dish. Continue baking uncovered for an additional 10 minutes. This helps the top layer set and develop a light golden color.
- Remove the apple lasagna from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm, ideally with additional vanilla sauce if desired. Enjoy your Apfellasagne mit Vanillesoße!
Notes
You can adjust the amount of sugar in both the pudding and the apple layers according to your personal taste or the sweetness of your apples. For extra flavor, add a handful of raisins or chopped nuts between the layers. The dessert tastes especially good when served warm, but can also be enjoyed cold. If you prefer, you can use homemade vanilla pudding instead of pudding powder.
