Caipirinha Bowle Rezept, das Zeug macht wirklich süchtig

  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 2 Portionen 1x

Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 Limetten
  • 1 Honigmelone
  • 100 g brauner Zucker
  • 200 ml Cachaça
  • 1 Liter Mineralwasser
  • 750 ml Sekt
  • Minze zum Verzieren

Instructions

  1. Begin by thoroughly washing the 9 limes under running water to remove any dirt or residues. Pat them dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. Take 5 of the limes and finely grate their zest using a microplane or fine grater, making sure to only remove the green outer layer and avoid the bitter white pith. Cut these 5 limes in half and squeeze out their juice into a bowl. Combine the freshly grated lime zest and lime juice with 500 ml of water, stirring well to mix. Pour this mixture into ice cube trays and place them in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until completely frozen, to create aromatic lime ice cubes.
  2. While the lime ice cubes are freezing, prepare the honeydew melon by cutting it in half and using a spoon to scoop out and discard the seeds from the center. Remove the rind from the melon halves, then cut the melon flesh into small, bite-sized cubes. Set the melon cubes aside.
  3. Take the remaining 4 limes and slice them into thin wedges or small segments. Place these lime wedges into a large punch bowl or serving vessel. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the lime wedges, then use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush and mash the limes with the sugar. This helps to release the lime juices and essential oils from the skin, mixing them with the sugar to form a flavorful base.
  4. Add the prepared honeydew melon cubes into the bowl with the muddled limes and sugar. Pour in the 200 ml of Cachaça over the fruit and sugar mixture. Use a large spoon to mix everything together, ensuring the fruit is well coated and the sugar begins to dissolve. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 3 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the punch to chill thoroughly.
  5. When ready to serve, remove the lime ice cubes from the freezer and pop them out of the trays. Add the lime ice cubes directly into the punch bowl with the fruit and Cachaça mixture.
  6. Gently pour in 1 liter of chilled mineral water and 750 ml of cold sparkling wine (Sekt) into the punch bowl. Stir everything together carefully to combine and chill the punch further. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
  7. Finish by garnishing the punch with fresh mint leaves for a burst of color and aroma. Serve the Caipirinha Bowle immediately in glasses, making sure each serving includes some fruit, ice cubes, and mint. Enjoy your refreshing and irresistible Caipirinha Bowle!

Notes

For an extra-refreshing punch, make sure all liquids and fruits are well chilled before assembling. You can prepare the lime ice cubes and fruit mixture in advance for convenience. Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar or Cachaça to your taste preference. This punch is perfect for summer parties and should be served immediately after adding the sparkling wine to maintain its fizz. Always drink responsibly.
