Description
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large, ripe melon
- 2 liters mineral water
- 500 g fresh strawberries
- 150 ml strawberry syrup
- Ice cubes, as desired
Instructions
- Begin by preparing the melon. Cut the large, ripe melon in half using a sharp knife. Use a spoon to carefully remove and discard the seeds from both halves. Slice each half into several wedges. Cut the melon flesh away from the rind and chop it into small cubes. Transfer the melon cubes into a blender or use an immersion blender to puree the fruit until it is smooth and free of large chunks.
- Wash the fresh strawberries thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or residue. Remove the stems from the strawberries. If the strawberries are large, cut them in halves or quarters to make them easier to eat and to allow their flavors to infuse the bowle.
- In a large punch bowl or a deep mixing bowl, combine the pureed melon and the prepared strawberries. Add one liter of the mineral water and pour in the 150 ml of strawberry syrup. Stir the mixture thoroughly with a large spoon to ensure that the syrup is fully dissolved and the fruits are evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the mixture to chill and infuse for at least 3 to 4 hours. This resting time ensures that the flavors of the fruits and syrup meld together, creating a refreshing and harmonious drink.
- When ready to serve, remove the bowl from the refrigerator. Add the remaining one liter of mineral water and as many ice cubes as you desire to keep the drink cold and refreshing. Stir the punch gently to mix the ingredients well. Ladle the Erdbeer Bowle with Melon into glasses, making sure each serving gets both fruit and liquid. Serve immediately and enjoy your alcohol-free punch.
Notes
You can experiment with different types of melon, such as cantaloupe or honeydew, depending on your preference and availability. For an extra burst of freshness, consider adding a handful of fresh mint leaves to the punch. This drink is perfect for summer parties, barbecues, or family gatherings, and can easily be doubled or tripled to serve a crowd.
