Flammkuchenrolle Rezept

  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 6 Portionen 1x

Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Rolle Blätterteig aus dem Kühlregal
  • 1 Bund Frühlingszwiebeln oder 2 Schalotten oder Zwiebeln
  • 1 Päckchen Frischkäse oder Schmand
  • 150 g Schinken, roh oder gekocht
  • Pfeffer
  • etwas Salz

Instructions

  1. Begin by peeling the onions or shallots carefully. Once peeled, finely dice the onions and the ham into small, evenly sized cubes to ensure a uniform texture and flavor in the filling.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced onions and ham with the cream cheese or sour cream. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well incorporated into a creamy, spreadable mixture.
  3. Season the mixture generously with freshly ground black pepper and add a pinch of salt. Optionally, for an extra layer of flavor, you can add a small amount of Herbs de Provence or your favorite mixed herbs. Stir again to evenly distribute the seasoning.
  4. Prepare your workspace by unrolling the sheet of puff pastry on a clean, flat surface. Using a spatula or the back of a spoon, spread the prepared filling evenly over the entire surface of the puff pastry, making sure to cover it edge to edge for maximum flavor in every bite.
  5. Once the filling is evenly spread, carefully roll the puff pastry from one end to the other into a tight cylinder. Take your time to roll slowly and firmly to avoid tearing the pastry and to create a compact roll with well-layered filling.
  6. Using a sharp knife, cut the rolled pastry into slices approximately 3 centimeters thick. These slices will form individual Flammkuchenrolle pieces.
  7. Line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking and arrange the sliced rolls on the tray with some space between each piece to allow for even baking and expansion.
  8. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F) using the convection (Umluft) setting to ensure even heat distribution. Place the baking tray in the oven and bake the Flammkuchenrolle slices for about 10 minutes. Monitor the rolls as baking times can vary; bake longer if you prefer a more golden and crispy finish or shorter for a softer texture.
  9. Once baked to your desired level of browning, carefully remove the baking tray from the oven and allow the Flammkuchenrolle slices to cool slightly before serving. They can be enjoyed warm or cold, making them versatile for different occasions.

Notes

These delicious Flammkuchenrolle slices are perfect for serving at brunch, as a party snack, or a casual appetizer. You can easily customize the filling to your taste by substituting or adding ingredients such as different herbs, cheeses, or vegetables. The rolls also keep well and can be enjoyed cold, making them convenient for preparing in advance.
