Geheimes Waffeln Rezept

  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 2 Portionen 1x

Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g Zucker
  • 500 g Margarine, zimmerwarme
  • 10 Ei(er), verquirlte
  • 2 Pck. Vanillinzucker
  • 1 Schuss Rum
  • 1.000 g Mehl
  • 1 Liter Milch
  • 1 Pck. Backpulver

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing all your ingredients. Make sure the margarine is at room temperature for easier mixing. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them thoroughly until the yolks and whites are completely combined and slightly frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whisked eggs with the sugar and room temperature margarine. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat these ingredients together until the mixture becomes smooth, creamy, and develops a light, airy texture indicating that enough air has been incorporated.
  3. Add the two packets of vanilla sugar to the bowl to infuse a pleasant vanilla aroma into the batter. Then, pour in a good splash of real rum, which will add depth and a subtle warmth to the flavor profile of the waffles. Mix these ingredients gently but thoroughly to evenly distribute the flavors throughout the batter.
  4. Sift the 1,000 g of flour together with the baking powder to ensure there are no lumps, and gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir carefully to combine; the batter will become somewhat sticky at this point, which is normal and necessary for the texture of the waffles.
  5. Slowly pour in the 1 liter of milk a little at a time while continuously stirring the batter. This gradual addition helps to achieve a smooth, soft, and pourable consistency without lumps. Continue mixing until the batter is homogenous and has a slightly thick but fluid texture suitable for waffle irons.
  6. Preheat your waffle iron thoroughly until it reaches the ideal baking temperature. Once hot, lightly grease the plates if your waffle iron requires it to prevent sticking. Then, pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the center of the waffle iron, spreading it slightly if needed to cover the surface evenly but without overflowing.
  7. Close the waffle iron and bake the waffles until they turn golden brown and crisp on the outside. The exact baking time will depend on your waffle iron model but generally ranges from 3 to 5 minutes. Carefully open the iron to check for doneness; the waffles should be cooked through but still soft and fluffy inside.
  8. Remove the finished waffles carefully to avoid tearing and serve them immediately while still warm and crispy. Enjoy them plain or with your favorite toppings such as fresh fruit, powdered sugar, syrup, or whipped cream for an extra indulgence.
  9. Optional seasonal variation: During the winter months, enhance the batter by stirring in a teaspoon or two of ground cinnamon before baking. This adds a festive warmth and aromatic spice to the waffles, perfect for cozy breakfasts or holiday treats.

Notes

The full batch of batter yields approximately 30 waffles, which might be more than needed for a typical household. To adjust, simply halve all ingredient quantities except for the baking powder. This reduced amount comfortably serves about 6 hungry people. Any leftover batter freezes very well; thaw completely before using and stir gently before baking.
