Guacamole–Dip Rezept

Guacamole Dip Rezept

  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 2 Portionen 1x

Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed or very finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, very finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 2 ripe avocados

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half lengthwise and carefully remove the pits. Using a spoon, scoop the flesh out of the avocado halves and place it into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. Use a fork to mash the avocado flesh until it reaches a smooth, creamy consistency with only a few small chunks remaining, depending on your desired texture.
  3. Add the finely diced tomatoes, freshly squeezed lemon juice, pressed or finely chopped garlic, and plain yogurt to the mashed avocados. Stir everything together thoroughly to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  4. Season the mixture generously with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir once more and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  5. If you prefer a less watery guacamole, you can remove the seeds from the tomatoes before dicing and adding them to the mixture.
  6. Transfer the finished guacamole dip to a serving bowl. For best presentation and to help prevent browning, you may gently press one of the avocado pits into the center of the dip until ready to serve.
  7. Serve the guacamole immediately with potato wedges, tortilla chips, vegetables, or any other dippable snacks you enjoy. If not serving right away, cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the guacamole to minimize air exposure.

Notes

If you wish to make a smaller portion of guacamole, use only 1 avocado and halve the rest of the ingredients. Removing the seeds from the tomatoes before adding them will result in a thicker, less watery dip. To prevent the guacamole from turning brown, place an avocado pit in the center of the dip or cover it tightly with plastic wrap touching the surface. This dip is perfect as an accompaniment to potato wedges, tortilla chips, or any kind of snack you like to dip.
