Description

Samtig-cremiger Nutella-Likör mit intensivem Haselnuss-Kakao-Aroma, feiner Vanillenote und einem Hauch Kaffee. Schokoladig-braune Farbe, luxuriös dickflüssige Textur, vollmundig-süßer Geschmack mit edlem Rumaroma.

  • 400 g Nutella
  • 0.7 Liter brown rum (40% alcohol)
  • 400 ml heavy cream
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee powder
  • 2 vanilla beans

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vanilla beans by slicing them lengthwise with a sharp knife and scraping out the seeds (vanilla pulp) using the back of the knife. Set both the seeds and the empty pods aside.
  2. Dissolve the instant coffee powder in 1 tablespoon of hot water, stirring until completely smooth and no lumps remain.
  3. In a large mixing bowl or blender, combine the vanilla seeds, dissolved coffee, Nutella, powdered sugar, and brown rum. Blend the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth and homogenous. If using a hand mixer, start on low speed and gradually increase to avoid splattering.
  4. Cover the bowl or transfer the mixture to a container with a lid, and refrigerate the mixture overnight. This allows the flavors to meld and the mixture to chill completely.
  5. The next day, pour the heavy cream into a clean mixing bowl. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the cream until it is semi-stiff, meaning it holds soft peaks but is not fully whipped to stiff peaks.
  6. Take the chilled Nutella-rum mixture from the refrigerator and gently fold in the semi-whipped cream using a spatula or whisk. Mix until the cream is fully incorporated and the liqueur has a smooth, creamy consistency.
  7. Using a funnel, pour the finished Nutella liqueur into clean glass bottles (you will need about three 0.5 liter bottles). Seal the bottles tightly with caps or stoppers.
  8. Store the bottles in the refrigerator. Before each serving, shake the bottle well or stir the liqueur, as it may thicken or separate slightly upon standing.
  9. The Nutella liqueur is best served chilled. It will keep in the refrigerator for about 3 weeks, but the alcohol (rum) helps preserve it and it may last longer if kept cold and properly sealed.

Notes

Always shake or stir the liqueur before serving, as it may separate or thicken during storage. For best flavor and texture, use high-quality rum and fresh cream. Ensure all utensils and bottles are clean and dry before bottling the liqueur to extend shelf life. The vanilla pods themselves can be placed in the bottles for extra flavor, or removed after infusing overnight. This liqueur makes a wonderful homemade gift and can be enjoyed over ice, in coffee, or as a dessert topping.
