Türkischer Tomatensalat Rezept, super würzig!

  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 4 Portionen 1x

Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g Gurken
  • 1 kleine Peperoni
  • 150 g Zwiebeln
  • 1 TL Salz
  • 450 g Tomaten
  • Petersilie
  • Pfeffer
  • 30 ml Öl
  • 30 ml Zitronensaft, frisch gepresster

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the onions. Peel the onions and cut them in half lengthwise. Slice the halves into very fine rings. Place the sliced onions in a bowl, sprinkle them with 1 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of pepper, and mix gently. Allow the onions to rest for a few minutes; this process helps to soften the onions and mellow their sharpness.
  2. After resting, rinse the salted onions briefly under cold running water to remove excess salt and some of the sharpness. Drain the onions well, then gently squeeze them with your hands to remove any excess water. Set the prepared onions aside.
  3. Prepare the tomatoes by washing them thoroughly. Cut each tomato in half and use a small spoon or knife to remove the seeds. Dice the seeded tomatoes into small, even cubes and place them in a large salad bowl.
  4. Peel the cucumber and slice it in half lengthwise. Use a teaspoon to carefully scrape out the seeds from the center of each half. Cut the cucumber halves into small cubes, similar in size to the tomatoes, and add them to the salad bowl.
  5. Take the small peperoni, cut it in half lengthwise, and carefully remove the seeds. Finely dice the peperoni into small pieces. Add the diced peperoni to the bowl with the other vegetables.
  6. Wash a small bunch of fresh parsley, shake off excess water, and finely chop the leaves. Add the chopped parsley to the salad bowl.
  7. Add the prepared onions to the bowl with the tomatoes, cucumbers, peperoni, and parsley. Gently toss everything together to combine.
  8. In a small bowl or cup, combine 30 ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 30 ml of oil (such as olive oil or sunflower oil), and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended to form the dressing.
  9. Pour the prepared dressing over the salad ingredients in the bowl. Toss the salad gently but thoroughly, ensuring that all the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.
  10. Transfer the Turkish tomato salad to a serving platter or bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld, then serve fresh as a vibrant and flavorful side dish. Enjoy your super spicy Turkish tomato salad!

Notes

For the best flavor, use ripe and juicy tomatoes and fresh, crisp cucumbers. If you prefer a milder flavor, use a mild pepper instead of a spicy peperoni. The salad can be prepared a short time in advance and kept chilled to enhance its refreshing taste. Adjust the amount of salt, pepper, and lemon juice to suit your personal preference. This salad pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, fish, or as part of a mezze spread.
