Description
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 Banane(n), weich
- 200 g Mehl
- 2 TL, gestr. Backpulver
- 75 g Zucker
- 1 Pck. Vanillezucker
- 1 Prise(n) Salz
- 3 Ei(er)
- 4 EL Mineralwasser
- 125 g Butter
Instructions
- Peel the ripe banana and place it in a bowl. Using a fork, mash the banana thoroughly until it becomes a smooth, lump-free puree. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt. Stir these dry ingredients together so they are evenly distributed.
- Add the eggs to the dry ingredients. Then, melt the butter until just liquid but not hot, and add it to the bowl along with the mineral water.
- Using a hand mixer, start mixing all the ingredients together on a low speed, gradually increasing to medium speed. Mix until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- Incorporate the mashed banana into the batter. Continue mixing thoroughly with the hand mixer to ensure the banana is evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Preheat your waffle iron until it is thoroughly heated. Lightly grease the waffle plates if necessary to prevent sticking.
- Spoon moderate portions of the batter onto the hot waffle iron. Avoid overfilling to prevent batter from spilling out during cooking.
- Close the waffle iron and bake the waffles until they turn a beautiful golden brown color. This usually takes about 3 to 5 minutes, but cooking times may vary depending on your waffle iron.
- Once the waffles are cooked, carefully remove them from the waffle iron using a spatula or fork. Place each waffle on a wire cooling rack to allow them to cool slightly and retain their crispiness.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter, reheating and greasing the waffle iron as needed.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon or a handful of chopped nuts to the batter. Serve the waffles warm with fresh fruits, maple syrup, or a dollop of whipped cream for a delicious breakfast or snack.
