Description

Gugelhupf Grundrezept – Weihnachtskuchen Rezept ! Was wäre ein Weihnachten ohne Gugelhupf. Hier unser einfaches Rezept, das Gugelhupf Grundrezept.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g Butter (weich)
  • 320 g Zucker
  • 1 Pk Vanillezucker
  • 5 Stk Eier
  • 500 g Mehl
  • 1 Pk Backpulver
  • 100 ml Milch
  • 1 EL Öl für die Form

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing your baking equipment. Grease a classic Gugelhupf or Bundt cake pan thoroughly with 1 tablespoon of oil, making sure to cover all grooves and edges to prevent the cake from sticking. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F) so it is ready for baking.
  2. Place the softened butter in a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar and vanilla sugar. Using an electric mixer or a whisk, beat the mixture vigorously for several minutes until it becomes light in color and creamy in texture. This step is important to incorporate air for a fluffy cake.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time to the creamed butter and sugar mixture. After adding each egg, beat the batter well until fully combined before adding the next. This ensures the batter remains smooth and emulsified.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, mixing them together evenly. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Use a spatula or mixer on low speed to fold the ingredients together gently, mixing just until you have a smooth, even batter. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the prepared batter evenly into the greased Gugelhupf pan. Smooth the surface with a spatula to ensure even baking.
  6. Place the pan into the preheated oven on the middle rack. Bake the Gugelhupf for approximately 60 minutes. Avoid opening the oven door during baking, as this can cause the cake to collapse or become dense.
  7. After 60 minutes, check the cake for doneness by inserting a toothpick or skewer into the center; it should come out clean. If necessary, bake for a few more minutes and check again.
  8. Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Then, carefully invert the pan onto a wire rack to release the cake. Let the Gugelhupf cool completely before serving.
  9. Once fully cooled, dust the cake generously with powdered sugar for a festive and classic finish. Slice and serve as desired.

Notes

Do not open the oven door during baking, as this can cause the cake to collapse and become dense. For an extra festive touch, sprinkle the cooled Gugelhupf with powdered sugar before serving. The cake can be stored in an airtight container for several days and tastes even better the next day.
