Description

Mit Faschiertem kann man viel zaubern. Das Rezept Hascheehörnchen ist auch bei Kindern sehr beliebt und schnell zubereitet. Schnelle und Einfache Gratin Rezepte.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 0.5 liters water
  • 400 grams ground meat (Faschiertes)
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 300 grams elbow macaroni (Hörnchen noodles)

Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and finely chop it into small pieces to ensure even cooking and a pleasant texture in the final dish.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onion and sauté, stirring occasionally, until the onion turns golden brown and aromatic. This usually takes about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add the ground meat (Faschiertes) to the skillet with the sautéed onions. Break up the meat with a spoon or spatula and cook, stirring frequently, until the meat is fully browned and cooked through, with no pink remaining. This should take another 5–8 minutes.
  4. Pour in the water, making sure to deglaze the bottom of the pan if there are any browned bits. Crumble the bouillon cube into the mixture and stir well to dissolve. Peel and press the garlic clove (or finely mince it) and add it to the pan, stirring to combine.
  5. Season the meat mixture with salt, pepper, and dried marjoram. Stir thoroughly to distribute the spices evenly. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer gently, uncovered, for about 20 minutes. Stir occasionally and allow the liquid to reduce by about half, resulting in a hearty and flavorful sauce.
  6. While the meat mixture is simmering, fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add a generous amount of salt to the water, then add the elbow macaroni (Hörnchen noodles). Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente, usually for 7–9 minutes.
  7. Once the noodles are cooked, drain them in a colander and shake off any excess water. Immediately add the drained noodles to the meat sauce. Stir everything together thoroughly so that the noodles are well coated with the sauce and the ingredients are evenly mixed.
  8. Taste the Hascheehörnchen and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or marjoram if desired. Serve the dish hot, optionally garnished with freshly chopped herbs or a sprinkle of grated cheese if you like.

Notes

Hascheehörnchen tastes great served with a fresh green salad. For an extra creamy and rich flavor, you can sprinkle grated cheese over the top before serving or stir some cheese into the hot pasta. This recipe is very versatile—feel free to add vegetables or use your favorite type of ground meat.
